WiDS @ GM is an independent event that is organized by General Motors as part of the annual WiDS Worldwide conference, the WiDS Datathon, and an estimated 200 WiDS Regional Events worldwide. Everyone is invited to attend all WiDS conference and WiDS Datathon Workshop events which feature outstanding women doing outstanding work.

General Motors aspires to be the most inclusive company in the world, and we are proud to support Stanford University in the Women in Data Science (WiDS) initiative. WiDS started as a one-day technical conference at Stanford in 2015 aimed to inspire and educate data scientists. Today, WiDS has grown to become a global movement that includes many worldwide initiatives.

As Senior Manager, Global Business Intelligence & Data Literacy Services, Regina Huricks-Trapp is a data connector; connecting content, analysts and teams to data that can influence the diversity & inclusivity of next generation products and services. Based out of San Mateo, CA, she is a key member of the Data Governance & Literacy team and is responsible for driving global data literacy strategy. Regina is a pioneer- as one of first ten professionals in the world to earn Data Literacy Program Lead Certification.
Regina has more than 20+ years of rich experience as a business intelligence developer, leading diverse analytical teams through all phases of the data journey across diverse industry sectors for Fortune 100 companies.

She has significant leadership experience in data curation, exploration, and education. Regina’s experience in data and analytics is diversified across healthcare, finance, consulting, digital media, social media, and gaming.
​
Regina attended the University of Texas @Austin and University of Texas, School of Public Health, graduating with both bachelor’s and master’s degree.
​
Regina has chaired, co-chaired or contributed to numerous diversity and inclusion employee networks for multiple top industry companies.
​
Regina is an avid Hamilton fan, attending a history of the musical at Stanford.
